By registering as a borrower with Tibi, you agree to these terms.

Who Can Borrow?
Anyone who has difficulty reading visual text and printed books due to a disability or illness may apply.
Possible reasons for reading difficulties:
- Impaired vision that cannot be corrected with glasses
- Dyslexia or other reading difficulties
- ADHD
- Physical disabilities that make it hard to hold or turn pages (e.g., CP, ME, Parkinson’s)
- Cognitive or speech challenges due to illness or injury
Note: Tibi’s services are not for practicing Norwegian. Borrowing requires documented reading difficulties, not just language challenges.
Temporary Borrowing Rights
You may apply for temporary access if you need accessible literature due to illness or injury for a limited period.
Production Rights for Students
Students with visual impairments applying for production rights must provide documentation from an ophthalmologist or vision specialist. See criteria here.
Children and Young People
Parents or guardians must fill out the application for borrowers under 18, confirming eligibility and giving consent.

If eligibility is unclear, we may request documentation of your reading difficulties. We also conduct spot checks.
If asked, you must provide a certificate from a relevant professional, such as:
- Teacher
- PPT staff
- Doctor
- Nurse
- Occupational therapist
- Optometrist
- Vision specialist
These terms are based on the Norwegian Copyright Act (§ 55 and 56), which allows Tibi to produce audiobooks for people with disabilities without permission from the copyright holder.
